Threats against Phillip Garrido's parole agent forced him to transfer to a new office in the Sacramento area, a KCRA 3 investigation has uncovered. "The nature of the threats against him have been severe enough to relocate him," said Gordon Hinkle, a spokesman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Due to the sensitive nature of these threats, KCRA 3 is not naming the parole agent.

The parole agent who supervised kidnapping and rape suspect Phillip Garrido has been moved to a different location because of threats against him and his family, the state corrections department said today. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Spokesman Gordon Hinkle said the agent and his family were moved shortly after Jaycee Dugard was discovered and Garrido and his wife, Nancy, were arrested Aug. 26. The move was "due to security concerns that the department had," Hinkle said.

A parole agent who oversaw the man accused of kidnapping and raping Jaycee Dugard has been transferred for his and his family's safety his family. California corrections department spokesman Gordon Hinkle says the agent and his family were moved to a new location after he was publicly identified. His children had to be taken out of school because of threats, Hinkle said Wednesday.
